This year, in January, my parents got married and they decided to take a cruise to the Caribbean. But they couldn’t go alone because they can’t speak English, so my sister and I had to go with them.
First, we went to Miami. We spent one day and a half there. We went to the beach, tshopping and we visited a fair in Ocean Drive. Then we took the cruise.
The ship was amazing. Once you’re inside the ship you don’t notice you’re on a ship! Except when the ship starts rocking! It looks like a little city. There are stores, a big pool, an ice-skating rink, a rock-climbing wall, bars, and even a fast food restaurant! We spent the first day at the sea. At night, we had a welcome cocktail and a formal dinner. It was very nice and the food was delicious. After the dinner, we went to watch a show in the ship theater.
The following day, we went to San Juan, Puerto Rico. The city is amazing! It’s divided in two parts: the Old San Juan and the New San Juan. We made a tour in Old San Juan in a Taxi. We visited the Fort San Felipe del Morro, the Capitol of San Juan and went through the streets of the Old San Juan looking at the old houses. Then, we stopped to eat and have a look at the local stores. We went to a restaurant recommended by the taxi driver where we could taste the typical food. We ate Mofongo, which is made from plaintains and pork, and some tortillas with cheese and pepper. The food was delicious and that was my favourite part about visiting San Juan. After our visit to San Juan, we went back to the ship. At night, we went to the family night at the night club.
In the other day we went to St. Thomas. St. Thomas is an island in the Caribbean located in the U.S. Virgin Islands. When we first arrived there we got a taxi and went to the beach. The curious thing about the U.S. Virgin Islands is that the drivers are supposed to drive on the left side of the road, and that was quite strange to me. The beach we went to had calm and clean water. I could see the little fishes swimming around my feet. After the beach, we went lunching in a small restaurant. Then, we went to see the local stores and buy some souvenirs. After that, we went back to the cruise. That night, my mother, my sister and I went to a party at the pool deck and it was very nice.
The next day, we went to St. Maarten. St. Maarten is an island located in the northeast of the Caribbean and it’s divided in the Dutch side and the French side. We went to a beach in the French side. When we arrived there, it started raining! That was strange because it was raining in only one side of the beach! But then the sun came out and we could enjoy the beach. When we got back to the ship we ate in the fast food restaurant and I really enjoyed it!
In the next day, we went to Nassau, Bahamas. We visited the Atlantis Paradise Resort, which is very beautiful. Then we went to the beach and stayed there until the time we had to come back to the ship.
The following day we had to say good bye to everyone we met and I was kinda sad because I met some very nice people from different parts of the world. We went back to Miami where we spent one more day and a half. We tried to enjoy the day to the full. We went to the shopping mall and, at night, we went to a restaurant.
Then we went back home with lots of memories and stories to tell!
Hi everybody!!!I’ve been to Espirito Santo for only a week. my family and I have been to some beautiful places. I met some nice people when I played footbal. We did some nice things: I played football,v olleyball...The nicest thing was riding a horse.We went to the capital of the state, Vitoria. we went to the shopping centre, my brother went to see the animals.
The next day I woke up at 10 o’clock, I had breakfast very fast in the hotel because it would finish at 10:30. At 1 o’clock we had lunch. one hour before but i don’t luch yet.
Five days later I packed, we had lunch and went home.
